Sherwood Community Food Gardens

Our two community gardens provide opportunities to grow food organically and sustainably.

They also provide important natural habitats for wildlife

We have recently changed our name from Transition Sherwood to reflect what we do. We are actively seeking local people to help maintain our shared spaces and to join our new committee

Membership is open to all residents in the Sherwood area

You can join us as a plot holder, a volunteer or a Friend, depending on spaces available. There are opportunities to learn more about gardening, share skills, share produce, join occasional workshops or open days and to join the committee to help with organisation.

Join us to enjoy the satisfaction of growing your own food

The gardens are a friendly and supportive environment where you can enjoy the benefits of outdoor green space and nature. There are opportunities for learning a range of skills from growing vegetables to administrative and organisational tasks. The regular working parties are supportive, practical and a chance to socialise.
